I’ve been assigned to review this trademark application. Before I can approve the mark for publication, there is one issue that must be addressed.
The applicant’s name includes the abbreviations “Co., Ltd.,” and the applicant’s entity type is specified as a “limited company.” However, we only accept “limited company” as an entity type for Chinese, South Korean, and Commonwealth companies. For Japanese companies, the entity type specified for companies whose names include “Co., Ltd.” is usually corporation. I’ve reviewed the applicant’s prior registrations, and most of them, including the registration for SUPERCHLON in stylized form, No. 3807322, identify the applicant as a corporation.
Therefore, I’d like your consent to enter the entity type for this application to “corporation.”
You can provide your consent to this amendment by reply email or phone, and I will enter it by Examiner’s Amendment and approve the mark for publication. If you have any questions, please let me know.
