To the Commissioner for Trademarks:

Application serial no. 88257259 THE LAST PARTY(Standard Characters, see http://uspto.report/TM/88257259/mark.png) has been amended as follows:

ARGUMENT(S)
In response to the substantive refusal(s), please note the following:

With respect to the Examiner's SPECIMEN REFUSAL as to Class 45, Applicant hereby responds that the refusal is erroneous and requests that Examiner review Pages 9, 11, 12, 31 and 32 of the Specimens submitted herein, an extracted copy of which is attached hereto. Notably such pages specifically refer to the services in class 45 e.g., "AFRICA IP EXPERTS" (pp.3, 9, 11, etc.) "LET'S TALK ABOUT IP IN AFRICA" (p. 11, etc.) At page 11 there is text which refers to the INTA (International Trademark Association) Annual Meeting that refers to the "importance of trademarks and brands to consumers, companies and the global economy" above a photograph of the Applicant's team who are providing the Section 45 services at that time and place, and beneath the photo include the words: INVENTA INTERNATIONAL had a booth in the exhibitors where the company's team members presented its IP solutions for Africa (with a link to the Applicant's website) ... As in the past edition Inventa International also hosted THE LAST PARTY." At page 12 and 32, there is links to articles about trademarks that become generic and inventa international launches its new IP guide designs in Africa Below that there is a photograph of Vitor Sergio Moreira who "reinforces Inventa International Patents team" with a link to his biography on the Applicant's website. Based on the foregoing, Applicant requests that the refusal be withdrawn.
