Subject: RE: U.S. TRADEMARK APPLICATION NO. 88256663 - ¡CIUDADANÍA YA! DE CUNY
Dear Lisa -
Thank you for your email. There is no requirement in the TMEP that the translation of the specimen be prepared by someone with any particular credentials. This requirement is so that the record is clear as to what the words on the specimen mean, and to help me determine whether the specimen supports the services listed in the application. So, if the applicant simply provides the translation with its signed response, that would suffice.

Subject: U.S. TRADEMARK APPLICATION NO. 88256663 - ¡CIUDADANÍA YA! DE CUNY
Good afternoon Examining Attorney Kon:
I write in reference to USPTO Action issued 3/26/2019 with respect to Trademark Application No. 88256663. Could you please advise whether the translation of non-English material on the specimens that is being requested must be prepared by someone with specific credentials in translation?
Thank you for your guidance.
