On December 10, 2019, and pursuant to 37 C.F.R. Section 2.102, Qual Chem, LLC ("Qual Chem"), requested that it be granted a 90-day extension of time to file a notice of oppositionagainst this application. Qual Chem, as potential opposer, indicated it believed it needed additional time to investigate a claim against this application. Qual Chem requested, and this Board granted, additional time, within which to conduct such investigation, until March 11, 2020..The attorneys for Qual Chem and applicant 3D International LLC (“3D”), began discussing possible settlement of the concerns of Qual Chem during this first extension and, on February 28, 2020, Qual Chem requested an additional 60-day extension, with the consent of 3D.
