Dear Ms. Slocum,
Thank you for speaking with me today regarding 3 of the trademark applications owned by Ontel Productions Corporation. As we discussed, the issues in these applications are:
1. In “Mighty Sight” (SN 88126868) the term “sight” needs to be disclaimed because it is descriptive of the purpose of the eyewear. We accept the disclaimer of “Sight.”
2. In both of the “Handy Brite” applications (SNs 88028192 and 88028186), the term “bright” needs to be disclaimed because it is descriptive of a feature or characteristic of the portable lights. We accept the disclaimer of “Bright.” Also, the goods need clarification to indicate the type of portable lights, e.g. flashlights, lanterns for lighting, electric lanterns, etc. The amended ID would read:
Class 11
Portable lights, namely, {specify generic name of goods, e.g. battery powered lanterns for lighting} We agree to amend to “Portable lights, namely battery powered lanterns for lighting”
