USPTO database searched; no conflicting marks found. The trademark examining attorney searched the USPTO database of registered and pending marks and found no conflicting marks that would bar registration under Trademark Act Section 2(d). 15 U.S.C. §1052(d); TMEP §704.02.
Application has been amended as shown below. As agreed to by William B. Cannon on February 12, 2020, the examining attorney has amended the application as shown below. Please notify the examining attorney immediately of any objections. TMEP §707. Otherwise, no response is required. Id. In addition, applicant is advised that amendments to the services are permitted only if they clarify or limit them; amendments that add to or broaden the scope of the services are not permitted. 37 C.F.R. §2.71(a).
The identification of services is amended to read as follows: “Publication of books, research reports and workbooks, but excluding books, research reports and workbooks for primary and secondary school students; educational services, namely conducting classes, seminars and workshops for religious congregations in the fields of management techniques, ministry, leadership, stewardship, planning, and spirituality, and distributing educational materials in connection therewith, but excluding educational services for primary and secondary school students; publishing books in the field of religion, but excluding books in the field of religion for primary and secondary school students; book publishing, but excluding book publishing for primary and secondary school students; Providing a website featuring blogs and non-downloadable publications in the nature of articles in the fields of religion, ministry, and church leadership; Providing on-line newsletters in the field of religion, ministry, and church leadership.” See TMEP §§1402.01, 1402.01(e).
