Subject: Re: BRAV Serial No. 88029250
Hi Katrina,
I am following up in response to the issues you've listed below:
1. We can remove the term "hand cleansers" because I believe the term "hand sanitizers" is what I was going for.
"Razor bump treatments" could be changed to "aftershave", because that's what I'm referring to in the application.
Yes, let's please delete the duplicate entries.
2. & 3. My product portfolio will primarily consist of men's grooming products, such as beard wash, beard oils, beard and face lotions, shampoo, conditioners, body wash, shave gels, safety razors, and aftershave, beard coloring, etc. , so if all of this resides in one class, then I would like to keep everything in this one class. If not, then please let me know when/how I should remit payment for the second class to be added to my application.
If "hand sanitizers" and "bug repellant creams, lotions and oils" fall into a separate class from the aforementioned, then we can omit these terms to keep my application to only one class.
4. Yes, let's please move forward with your suggestion of "a stylized" lion head.
Please let me know if you have any other questions or need any additional information from me to move my application towards approval.
Thanks again,
Hugh

I am the Examining Attorney assigned to the above-referenced application. There are several issues that require resolution – some or all may be resolved via examiner’s amendment.
1. Identification of Goods
The wording “hand cleansers” does not make clear the nature of the goods, if they are in the nature of hand sanitizers then they are properly classified in Class 05.
The wording “razor bump treatments” does not make clear the nature of the goods.
There are duplicate entries of “shaving soaps; coloring matters, namely, tints and lotions, all for the hair and the beard, and hair color removers”. Deletion of the duplicate entries is suggested.
2. Classification of Goods – “hand sanitizers” and “bug repellant creams, lotions and oils” are classified in Class 05.
3. Multiple-Class Application Requirements – this application identifies goods in two (2) classes however a fee was remitted for only one (1) Class. Accordingly, the identification must be restricted to one (1) class or an additional fee must be remitted.
4. Mark Description – the mark description contains wording (e.g., “animated”) beyond what appears in the mark. Accordingly the following is suggested and may be adopted (suggestions in bold font):
The mark consists of a stylized lion head, including the lion's mane, facing to the right, and placed centered on top of the word "BRAV", which is in all capital letters. The word "BRAV" includes a macron over the letter "A" for long vowel pronunciation, but does not include the line in the middle of the capitalized "A" as the standard character would.
Kindly contact me on or before 11/4/18 to resolve these issues. Please note that if you would like to adopt Class 05 I must issue and Office action in order for you to remit the fee. I look forward to your reply.
