DATABASE SEARCH:  The trademark examining attorney has searched the USPTO’s database of registered and pending marks and has found no conflicting marks that would bar registration under Trademark Act Section 2(d).  TMEP §704.02; see 15 U.S.C. §1052(d).

 

APPLICATION HAS BEEN AMENDED:  In accordance with the authorization granted by Steven D. Jannace on Oct. 17, 2018, the trademark examining attorney has amended the application as indicated below.  Please advise the undersigned immediately of any objections.  Otherwise, no response is necessary.  TMEP §707.  Any amendments to the identification of goods and/or services may clarify or limit the goods and/or services, but may not add to or broaden the scope of the goods and/or services.  37 C.F.R. §2.71(a); see TMEP §§1402.06 et seq.

Amendment to Identification of Goods

 

The identification of goods is amended to read as follows: 

 

Class 001:

Liquid coolants, contact cements, adhesives, solvents, and chemicals, all for use in the optical lens manufacturing industry

 

Class 003:

Polishing and cleaning preparations and abrasive preparations for use in the optical lens manufacturing industry, and for cleaning, maintaining and protecting exterior and interior surfaces of transportation vehicles

 

Class 004:

Industrial waxes used to stack and mount optics in the optical lens manufacturing industry; lubricants for precision optics manufacturing

 

Class 007:

Machine parts, namely, diamond-coated wheels for lens edging, optical lens polishing pads, abrasive edging wheels, and finishing pads for facings for polishing optical lenses; lens surfacing and edging machines; Slurry dispensing machines; all of the foregoing for use in the manufacture of optical lenses; Machine parts, namely, polishing pads, bobs, wheels, discs and protective rubber pads, namely, optical lens edging pads, used in the manufacture of lenses for the precision optics industry

 

Class 008:

Hands tools, namely, hand edging tools comprising an abrasive operative surface for use in the manufacturing of precision optics and manufacturing optical lenses

 

Class 009:

Scientific apparatus and instruments for use in the optical lens manufacturing industry, namely, slurry kits comprising hydrometers, dispensers and measuring cylinders for measuring liquids by providing Baume readings; Optical lenses made of glass

 

Class 017:

Polishing and protective pads of rubber or plastics used in the manufacture of lenses for the precision optics industry

 

Class 019 (no changes):

Pitch used in the holding, stacking, and mounting of lenses for use in manufacturing precision optics

 

Class 020:

Commercial packaging materials, namely, plastic carriers, holders, trays and templates all used in the manufacturing process of precision optical lenses

 

Class 021:

Unworked or semi-worked glass, namely, optical glass used in the manufacture of lenses and other precision optics

Class 024:

Cotton fabric for polishing pads used in the process of critical surfacing for use in optical lens manufacturing
