The addition of “flag” is okay with the client. According to the client the design was intended to evoke a flag and rolling fields.
Thanks for assisting with this.
Best,
Jill

OK, just let me know. Either way it will be coded as such b/c that’s what it looks like and the applicant would presumably want their mark to be found when other examiners are searching similar looking designs.

Jim,
Actually, I don't know if it is intended to be a flag (or not) and don’t want to mischaracterize the design. Can I check with the client first?
Thanks,
Jill

Importance: High
Hi Jill,
I’m the examiner for these four marks. All I need to do before I can approve them is to make a quick tweak to the mark description for each. All four have the same square design, which is currently described in the application as “a stylized square design.” It certainly looks like a flag blowing in the wind to me, and I’m going to have it coded as such in the design codes. So I’d just like to tweak each mark description to reflect that as well. We can refer to it as a “stylized square FLAG design,” if that’s OK.
Please let me know if that’s acceptable, and if so, I’ll fix each via examiner’s amendment and get them approved for publication.
Regards,
Jim Griffin
