There is one issue that we can fix via email or over the phone that is preventing approval of this application for the next step of the registration process; the applicant must specifically describe the drawing of the trademark.
Description of the Mark is Incomplete
The description of the mark is accurate but incomplete because it does not identify the squares in the letter T. Applications for marks not in standard characters must include an accurate and concise description that identifies all literal elements as well as any design elements in the mark. See 37 C.F.R. §2.37; TMEP §808.02.
Therefore, applicant must provide a more detailed description of the applied-for mark. The following is suggested:
The mark consists of a stylized version of UT with the right side of the letter U comprised in part of five squares which also forms the letter T.
Please respond to this email or call me (you may leave a message of approval) by close of business on Friday, November 20, 2015, and I can make the changes to your application for you and then approve the mark for the next step of the registration process. If you do not contact me by then, I will have to issue an Office action requiring these changes.
