Hi David,

That would be fine.  Shall I make the changes via Examiner’s Amendment?

Michael –

Would the following description work?

“Twine and other non-metallic strapping, namely, cord strapping and buckles in the nature of polyester fiber coated polypropylene composite straps for securing bundles, bales, coils, bags, lumber, steel sheets, brick and block, corrugated boxes and fiberboard and polyester fiber coated polypropylene woven lashing straps; woven polyester lashing straps; polyester and polypropylene strapping for securing bundles, bales, coils, bags, lumber, steel sheets, brick and block, corrugated boxes and fiberboard”

Hi David,

As discussed this afternoon,  the ID for the above application remains in definite in two places.

In the first entry, the “polyester fiber coated polypropylene composite straps” must indicate the function of the goods as the entry only identifies the goods by material composition, not by the type of goods.  The second issue is “lashing” in both the first and second entries.  Here, the ID must indicate that the goods are “lashing straps.”

Below are two proposed IDs.  If either is acceptable, please let me know via phone or email by COB on Thursday, August, 27th.

Option 1:

Class 22: Twine and other non-metallic strapping, namely, cord strapping and buckles in the nature of polyester fiber coated polypropylene composite straps for securing bundles, bales, coils, bags, lumber, steel sheets, brick and block, corrugated boxes and fiberboard and polyester fiber coated polypropylene woven lashing straps; woven polyester lashing straps; polyester and polypropylene strapping for securing bundles, bales, coils, bags, lumber, steel sheets, brick and block, corrugated boxes and fiberboard

Option 2:

Class 22:   Twine and other non-metallic strapping, namely, cord strapping and buckles in the nature of polyester fiber coated polypropylene composite straps and polyester fiber coated polypropylene woven lashing straps for securing bundles, bales, coils, bags, lumber, steel sheets, brick and block, corrugated boxes and fiberboard; woven polyester lashing straps; polyester and polypropylene strapping for securing bundles, bales, coils, bags, lumber, steel sheets, brick and block, corrugated boxes and fiberboard

Kind regards,
