Hello Michelle:

I’ve reviewed the identification.  I see several issues that will need to be addressed. First, the wording “intercom beltpacks for communicating with intercommunication main stations”  will need to be substituted for “intercom beltpack communicators”.

Second, this clause is problematic: “electronic products and software for interfacing, routing, delivering, transmitting, receiving, processing audio and signaling information to and from communication networks, namely, local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN) or Internet, IP networks, optical networks, wireless networks and global networks for enabling bi-directional media and data communication between the controller and a user-operator or multiple users-operators on the network or communication system or media transport system.”  The specific nature of the electronic products is unknown. The applied-for identification contained the following limitation: “electronic products namely network, conversion, interface and repeater devices.” The removal of this wording has broadened the scope of the identification.  You can either choose to remove the wording “electronic products” from the identification, or state the specific electronic network, conversion, interface and repeater devices products, in generic terms, that applicant provides. Additionally, it is not clear if the software/electronic products are “enabling bi-directional media and data communication between the controller and a user-operator or multiple users-operators on the network or communication system or media transport system”  or whether this is a feature of the wireless and global networks. The following substitute format may be used, if accurate:

Electronic products in nature of   [insert specific goods, here]   and software all for use in interfacing, routing, delivering, transmitting, receiving, processing audio and signaling information to and from communication networks in the nature of local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN) or Internet, IP networks, optical networks, wireless networks and global networks for the purposes of enabling bi-directional media and data communication between the controller and a user-operator or multiple users-operators on the network or communication system or media transport system

Subject: RE: C and Design - U.S. TRADEMARK APPLICATION NO. 86391190

Gretchen:

Please let me know if the following amendment would be acceptable or would require further clarification:

Intercommunication and media transport equipment, namely, cabled, wireless and matrix intercoms and intercommunication systems comprised of intercom main stations, frames, speaker stations, intercom remote stations, remote matrix intercom panels, intercom beltpack communicators, headsets for use with intercom devices, handsets for use with intercom devices, microphones, interface modules, control stations, rack-mount panels and mountings, transceiver-antennas, power supply assemblies, and parts therefor; electronic control panels for intercommunication equipment and systems; computer software for setup, configuration and operation of intercommunication equipment and systems; software based VoIP multi-channel and multi access professional communications system based on a dedicated client-server architecture, namely, computer software for VoIP and video; electronic products and software for interfacing, routing, delivering, transmitting, receiving, processing audio and signaling information to and from communication networks, namely, local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN) or Internet, IP networks, optical networks, wireless networks and global networks for enabling bi-directional media and data communication between the controller and a user-operator or multiple users-operators on the network or communication system or media transport system

If “intercom beltpack communicators” is not clear, would “intercom beltpacs for communicating with intercommunication main stations” work?

Regards,

Michelle Mehok
