Dear Mr. Scherrer,

 

Following up on the voice message that I recently left for you, I am conducting the examination of the above-referenced trademark application.  Before the application can be approved for publication, the following issue must be addressed:

 

1.    Identification of Goods: The amended identification is indefinite and overly broad because it does not clearly specify the nature of the goods which may fall within more than one international class. For example, tubes and grills may be hand operated cleaning apparatuses in Class 8 and the goods may describe aquarium filters in Class 11. Applicant may adopt the following suggested amendment to the ID, if accurate:

 

-       International Class 7:      Aquarium cleaning apparatuses, namely inserts cleaning machines, namely tubes, grills and pumps for pulling dirty water from an aquarium.

 

If agreeable, I can enter the amendment in for you.
