To avoid abandonment, applicant must continue to file requests for extension of time to file a statement of use (extension requests) or a statement of use within the six-month period after the issuance of the notice of allowance or before expiration of a previously granted extension period. 37 C.F.R. §§2.88(a), 2.89(a)-(b).
(2) Child application serial no. 86980741 contains the following <goods and/or services, collective membership organization, and/or class(es)>: 35 (On-line services, namely, ordering and inventory monitoring for vehicles and vehicle parts and accessories; purchasing and procurement services, namely, procuring of vehicles, vehicle parts and accessories, and vehicle maintenance services for others). 36 (Financial services, namely, facilitation of financing, warranties, extended service contracts and insurance services, namely, insurance claims processing, underwriting extended warranty contracts for others in the field of vehicles; vehicle brokerage services). 39 (Pickup, transportation, and delivery of vehicles and vehicle parts and accessories for others; leasing of vehicles). 45 (Personal concierge services for others comprising making requested personal arrangements and reservations and providing customer-specific information to meet individual needs). A statement of use filed on October 6, 2016 meets the minimum filing requirements and has been placed in the child application. The statement of use will be routed to the examining attorney for examination and, if it does not meet all the statutory requirements, the examining attorney will notify the applicant.
