EXTERNAL EMAIL
Dear Mr. Aurini,
I am the Examining Attorney reviewing the federal trademark application captioned above. There is one issue with the identification of goods that I hoped to discuss and resolve with you. This should expedite the processing of your client’s application.
Specifically, the wording:
Drives for motors, motors other than for land vehicles, power conversion equipment namely, electric motor drive systems comprising of electric motors, uninterruptible power supplies, power electronic converters, variable frequency drives, encoders, resolvers and gearboxes, to control the speed, position and torque control apparatus for AC and DC motors and industrial electrical controls for machines, motors and engines
in Class 7 must be clarified because it is too broad and could fall under multiple classes. I can suggest amending the wording as follows to make it definite in Class 7, if accurate (please see proposed changes in bold font):
Drives for motors, motors other than for land vehicles, power conversion equipment namely, electric motor drive systems comprising of electric motors not for land vehicles, uninterruptible power supplies, power electronic converters, variable frequency drives, encoders, resolvers and gearboxes, to control the speed, position and torque control apparatus for AC and DC motors and industrial electrical controls for machines, motors and engines
With your authorization, I can enter this change to the identification via an Examiner’s Amendment before approving for publication. At your earliest convenience, please let me know how you would like to proceed by either responding to this email or calling me at the telephone number listed in the signature block below.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss this matter further, please feel free to contact me.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Best regards,
Samantha
