Response to Office Action for Post-Registration Matters

To the Commissioner for Trademarks:

The following is submitted for registration number. 3334603 :

FORM INFORMATION

Registrant Las Vegas Sands Corp. hereby responds to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (“USPTO”) Post Registration Action dated November 27, 2013 (“Office Action”) wherein the Registrant’s Section 8 & 15 Combined Affidavit was refused because the name of the true owner of the registration in question was incorrectly identified. 

               

For the purpose of further clarification, the registration in question was assigned by the original owner, Venetian Casino Resort, LLC to Las Vegas Sands Corp, and such assignment was recorded with the USPTO on August 21, 2007, at reel and frame no.3607/012. However, the Section 8 & 15 Combined Affidavit filed on November 13, 2013 in connection with the registration inadvertently listed the current owner as Venetian Casino Resort, LLC.    Registrant hereby affirms that the signatory, Emily Zipperstein, in her capacity as Senior IP Counsel, was and is authorized to sign on behalf of both entities.  In that regard, the original Combined Affidavit was signed by an authorized signatory in accordance with 37 C.F.R. §2.161(b). If additional fees are due in connection with this filing, the USPTO is hereby authorized to deduct those fees from our deposit account number 502847.  Accordingly, Registrant believes it has addressed all outstanding issues with regard to the registration in question and requests that the affidavit be accepted.
