VIACOM INTERNATIONAL INC. ("Applicant") responds to the Office Action from
the Patent and Trademark Office, dated October 14, 2003 (the "Office
Action"), and respectfully requests reconsideration of its above-referenced
application for the mark "THE GOODS" (the "Mark") in view of the following.
Claim of Ownership
Applicant is the owner of Registration No. 2,703,427. See TMEP 812.
Amendment -- Identification of Services
Please amend the identification of services for the Mark to read as follows:
"Television broadcasting service via cable, satellite and via an interactive
global computer network" in International Class 38.
Conclusion
Based on the foregoing, Applicant submits that its application is in
appropriate form to proceed to publication. Favorable disposition of the
Application is therefore requested.
