Following up our last conversation, in order to keep the goods in one class (Class 22), the Office suggests the following:
Ropes and cords and frictional cam tie-down tensioner for cordage for use therewith -- in International Class 22
If the tie-downs are intended to be sold on their own (without rope), then the appropriate class would be Class 20.
Please advise how you would like to move forward. Thanks!

Thank you for your return call. I would like to point your attention to the following registrations, in which ratchets and other types of tensioners were included in Class 022 with the cordage: 3280744, 2858598, 2872353, 3195032, 3127818.
The tensioner in Serial No. 77/497,403 is not metal, but primarily plastic.
Please call me if you have any questions, or believe that further discussion could resolve the concerns raised in your office action. Please note that I am in California, so three hours behind D.C.
