STRICT DEADLINE TO RESPOND TO THIS LETTER
The submitted hand-written letter of July 23, 2010, response to the Office action dated June 3, 2010, is incomplete because it fails to address the issues raised in the Office action. Applicant must submit a complete response within (1) thirty days of the date of issuance of this letter, or (2) the time remaining in the period for response to the last Office action, whichever is longer. If no response is received within the relevant time period, the application will be abandoned. 37 C.F.R. §2.65(b); TMEP §718.03(b).
Advisory: Applicant has inquired whether it can delete the IDZ portion of the mark. The mark as it appears on the drawing may not be amended so that the character or essence of the mark would be materially altered. Such an amendment would indeed materially alter the mark and therefore would not be acceptable.
Again, applicant must respond to the issues raised in the Office action of June 3, 2010.
