This is responsive to the communication received September 30, 2005. The standard character claim is acceptable.

The identification of goods is unacceptable as indefinite because it does not specify the particular equipment. The applicant must amend the identification to specify the common commercial name of the goods. If there is no common commercial name, the applicant must describe the product and its intended uses. TMEP §1402.01. This requirement is continued and made Final.

The following is acceptable:

Semiconductor wafer measuring and processing equipment, operational software, and components, namely-- epitaxial reactors, chemical vapor deposition reactors, physical vapor deposition reactors, plasma etchers, ion implanters, measuring and monitoring tools, wafer cleaning systems, and chemical mechanical polishers; all for the processing and production of wafers, reticles, and flat panel displays
