The assigned examining attorney has reviewed the referenced application and determined the following.

 

The examining attorney has searched the Office records and has found no similar registered mark which bars registration under Trademark Act Section 2(d), 15 U.S.C. Section 1052(d).  TMEP section 1105.01.  However, the examining attorney will defer a further search the Office records and decide on the merits of the application when the applicant responds.  37 C.F.R. §2.61(b); TMEP §704.02.

The applicant must provide a translation  and/or transliteration of the non-Latin characters.  Additionally, the applicant must indicate whether the non-Latin characters have any significance in the relevant trade or industry or as applied to the ^.  37 C.F.R. Section 2.61(b).  The applicant may use the following format:

 

            The English translation of _____________ in the mark is _____________.  And/or  The non-Latin characters in the mark transliterate to ________________ and this means _____________ in English.    OR

 

The applicant must provide transliteration of the non-Latin characters even if the characters have no English translation.
