This letter responds to the applicant’s communication filed on June 2, 2003.
The applicant’s ownership statement is acceptable and made of record. The applicant’s amended Class 38 identification exceeds the scope of the original (“consultation of encrypted and secure communication”) insofar as it includes the wording “and of management of systems providing encrypted and secure communication,” which must be deleted. The same applies to Classes 35 and 42; the applicant must delete the newfound wording “and of management of systems providing encrypted and secure communication.” In Class 45, the applicant includes services (“technical support, namely monitoring of computer network systems”) that the Office Action and ID Manual clearly indicate belong in Class 42, and twice adds “and management,” both iterations of which must be deleted. Finally, although the applicant indicates that “[t]he statutory fee required for the addition of classes 35 and 45 is submitted herewith,” the Office has no record of receiving the same.
NOTICE OF SUSPENSION
Action on this application is suspended pending receipt of a certification or certified copy of the registration in the country of origin of applicant. If the registration is in a foreign language, an English translation must be submitted. The certification or certified copy of the registration should be forwarded to the Examining Attorney as soon as possible. If the foreign application is abandoned, the Examining Attorney should be advised.
