RESPONSE

Responsive to the Office Action of July 18, 2003.

REMARKS

Reconsideration is respectfully requested. This response is directed to
the descriptiveness refusal maintained by the examiner in the second office
action identified above. Based on Applicant’s actual use of the mark as more
fully specified in the Amendment to Allege Use (which has been filed prior
to this response), Applicant wishes to amend the instant application to
request registration of the proposed mark on the Supplemental Register.

I. AMENDMENT TO SUPPLEMENTAL REGISTER

Consistent with the undersigned’s conversation with the examiner on January
12, 2004, Applicant wishes to amend its application to request registration
of the above-identified trademark in the United States Patent and Trademark
Office on the Supplemental Register established by the Act of July 5, 1946
(15 U.S.C. §1091 et seq., as amended; 37 C.F.R. §2.75). Applicant is the
owner of the mark sought to be registered and is using or is using through a
related company the mark in commerce on or in connection with the goods
identified in the Amendment to Allege Use.

Withdrawal of the descriptiveness objection is respectfully requested.

II. DISCLAIMER

No claim is made to the exclusive right to use “LOCK” apart from the mark
as shown.

CONCLUSION

Applicant respectfully requests that the refusal to register Applicant’s
mark SECURE LOCK be withdrawn, and that the mark be deemed entitled to
registration on the Supplemental Register.
