To the Commissioner for Trademarks:

The registrant requests the following amendment(s) to registration no. 2639509 POWELL(Standard Characters) has been amended as follows:

EXPLANATION OF FILING

Owner L. Powell Acquisition Corp. respectfully submits this Request for Correction to correct the registrant's name. Specifically, the Combined Declaration of Use and Renewal under Sections 8 and 9 filed on October 27, 2011 was filed by L. Powell Acquisition Corp. identifying the applicant as “L. Powell Acquisition Corp.”  However, the PTO issued Notice of Acceptance on November 9, 2011 renewing the registration in the name of the former registrant’s name “L. Powell Company”.

 

The PTO’s assignment records clearly show that the former owner L. Powell Company assigned the registrant to assignee Insolvency Services Group, Inc. on July 31, 2009 (Reel 4035 Frame 0602) and then from Insolvency Services Group, Inc. to the current owner L. Powell Acquisition Corp. on July 31, 2009 (Reel 4036 Frame 0710).

 

The chain of title accurately reflects the current ownership of the registration as L. Powell Acquisition Corp., the entity that filed the Combined Declaration of Use and Renewal.  Renewal of the registration in the former registrant’s name is therefore the PTO’s error and registrant respectfully states that a fee to request correction is unnecessary.

 

Registrant respectfully requests correction of the registration.
